New Award-winning Children's Book Provides a Fun Way to Teach Basic Family Values to Children

Very cute. I recommend it especially for all young dog lovers. What makes this book a hit are the suggested points for parents to discuss with their children. The stories are not heavy handed at all and appeals to the imaginative reader. Highly recommended.

About James Beverly
James received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University in Detroit and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Child Psychology from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo Ontario, Canada. He then spent two years in the Medical School at Queen's University in Kingston Ontario where he was involved in research projects involving physically handicapped children.
Since then James has worked in the fields of mental health and developmental disabilities as a therapist and administrator in nine states for over thirty five years. He has been nominated for a variety of state and regional awards for innovative clinical programming. Some of the programs that James developed were recognized and presented at national correctional and mental health conferences.
During his years of service, James worked directly with a wide variety of distressed children and their families. It was in these settings that James became acutely aware of the poor communication that existed in many of the families and the lack of family values that had been instilled in the children. James realized that most of these families were sincerely motivated to teach their children - but lacked the basic training and skills that were necessary. It was these experiences that laid the foundation for James later to author a book for children and their parents that was specifically designed to fill these values and communication gaps in a pleasant and non-threatening manner.
