A Sleepwalking Penguin? Blooming Tree Press Releases Latest Children's Book
(PRWEB) May 9, 2008 -- Blooming Tree Press has released its latest children's book, a 32-page picture book sure to be a delight for readers of all ages. "Patrick the Somnambulist" (a somnambulist being someone who walks about in their sleep) was written and illustrated by local Austin, Texas author, Sarah Ackerley.
"Patrick the Somnambulist" is a tale about a perfectly normal penguin, who sometimes finds himself in odd situations. His parents think he's kind of weird, but since when is being normal such a good thing? Patrick surprises everyone with his not-at-all normal adventures, and becomes the talk of the penguin community -- all while proudly wearing a plunger on his head.
Author and illustrator, Ms. Ackerley is a long time penguin enthusiast and a part-time somnambulist. Unlike her main character in "Patrick the Somnambulist" Ms. Ackerley has never done anything spectacular in her sleep.
Ms. Ackerley lives in Austin, Texas and this is her first published children's book. She declares to get most of her ideas from her cat.
Patrick the Somnambulist" will be available May 9, 2008 in bookstores nationwide. This new book is also available by logging on to www.bloomingtreepress.com, by calling (512) 921-8846, or for wholesale ordering from Baker & Taylor.
