When someone from the house comes to his rescue, the boy's mother decides to offer kindness in return.

What she discovers is perhaps more disturbing than any ghost or goblin: An isolated old woman, living alone in fear and squalor. But soon, the entire village chooses compassion over fear, extending a helping hand to the home's enigmatic resident.
