New Children's Book Exemplifies Value of Good Sportsmanship

Denver, CO and Worthington, OH (PRWEB) October 17, 2007 -- Troy and the Championship Trophy is a story for kids that truly personifies the saying "It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game." Troy's greatest dream is to play in the flag football championship game. But when he finds himself on a team with kids who are not the strongest, biggest, or fastest, instead of giving up or quitting, he inspires his teammates to face their challenge with a winning attitude--to do one's best and respect the game.

Troy is the type of boy any parent would be proud of. Be it sports or academics, he excels. But what makes Troy so very special is his positive attitude and the example he sets for others. As the flag football championship game rages on, Troy and his teammates face poor sportsmanship from the opposing team and rudeness from the fans. Instead of reciprocating in kind, they take the high moral ground and prove that they are indeed winners.

Troy and the Championship Trophy teaches important lessons about cooperation, keeping a positive attitude, and the value of playing fair and by the rules. In a time when so many children seem to be lacking in moral direction, Troy and the Championship Trophy is a welcome breath of fresh air.
