Swim Professor to Donate All Proceeds from His New Children's Book & DVD to Fight Against Childhood Drowning
(PRWEB) June 27, 2007 -- To prevent childhood drownings, The Swim Professor has written a new children's book and DVD that will help children and parents understand appropriate behavior in and around the water. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Swim for Life Foundation and the Safer 3, the new standard in drowning prevention.
Why? Because there are hundreds of children dying every year. Because thousands of children are hospitalized every day. Because many of those that are hospitalized suffer from permanent brain damage and permanent loss of basic functioning.
Because more must be done in terms of awareness, education, and application, says Jim Reiser, better known as "The Swim Professor."

Reiser, president and founder of Swim Lessons University, says drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children ages 5 and under, and the 2nd leading cause of accidental death among children ages 6 to 14.
